The love and presence of God if accepted and welcomed changes lives.
This is evidenced particularly in the Parable of the Prodigal Son and the story of the Samaritan Woman. In both instances, the two sons and the Samaritan woman have made life choices that did not satisfy the inner longings of finding real peace and meaning. The challenge for all as demonstrated in these passages of Sacred Scripture is to allow Faith to guide one on a journey to open one’s heart to the love of the Triune God. The retreat will endeavour to transport these two passages into our present culture and will also include and be embellished by the Spirituality of John of the Cross, and in particular as exemplified by his poetry and writings.
